Hollow Knight Silksong developer Team Cherry has officially announced launch time and price for the upcoming platform game.
And despite being one of the most hotly anticipated games of the year, Hollow Knight Silksong looks like it won't break the bank.
In a post on social media, Team Cherry confirmed that Silksong will be priced at $19.99 in the US, €19.99 in Europe and ¥2300 in Japan. UK fans can expect to pay £19.99 for the Metroidvania-style adventure. As a reminder, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to play the game at no extra cost as part of their subscription.
Furthermore, Team Cherry has also told fans exactly when the game will be available to play on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC.
While we already knew it had a September 4 release date, the developer hadn't previously announced the exact time of launch.
The game will launch at 7am PT/10am ET in the US, 11pm JST in Japan, and 4pm CEST in Europe. This means UK fans will be able to start playing at 3pm BST.
The Hollow Knight Silksong release date was originally announced as part of a new trailer.
The trailer highlights the game's vast hand-crafted world, even showing off the huge map players will be able to explore.
Likewise, Hollow Knight Silksong will feature over 200 enemies for players to battle, as well as over 40 different boss encounters.
Players also caught a glimpse of some of the lead character's abilities and items, including the Sting Shard, Magma Bell and Crafting Kit.
The Hollow Knight sequel takes place in a new land, and will feature a ton of new powers and abilities.
"Play as Hornet, princess-protector of Hallownest, and adventure through a whole new kingdom ruled by silk and song!" reads the official description.
"Captured and brought to this unfamiliar world, Hornet must battle foes and solve mysteries as she ascends on a deadly pilgrimage to the kingdom's peak."
