Police are currently attending the scene, with a closure in place on both sides. A police spokesperson said: "Officers are currently in attendance on the M6 near Rugby following a concern for welfare incident. A closure is in place between junctions 1 and 2 on both sides - motorists are advised to please take an alternative route."
