Liverpool are reportedly demanding at least £40million to part ways with Harvey Elliott this summer, though his valuation may have soared over the past few weeks. The playmaker is attracting interest from a host of clubs around Europe, and he may now fetch a pretty penny after his sensational European Under-21 Championship performances.
The 22-year-old was on the scoresheet again for England when they clinched a 3-2 victory over Germany in the final, after extra time, to take the spoils in Slovakia and retain their crown.
Elliott opened the scoring in style in the fifth minute when picking up a loose ball on the edge of the Germany penalty area and firing a smart finish into the bottom corner. The ex-Fulham star also played a key role in the Three Lions' second with an excellent pass, and his performance was another which caught the eye.
Despite his displays, an exit from Anfield is still firmly on the cards for Elliott. According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool will only entertain offers in excess of £40million for their No. 19.

The Reds are also in a strong position to raise their asking price for Elliott, too, after how impressive he has been in Slovakia. The midfielder scored a total of five goals at the U21 Euros, taking the semi-finals by the scruff of the neck against the Netherlands and winning it for England with an impressive brace.
Brighton, West Ham and RB Leipzig are among a host of clubs to have been linked with Elliott, though a return to Craven Cottage has not been ruled out either, with Fulham also in the running to secure his signature.
However, with his price tag likely to be on the rise, it remains to be seen whether any of the aforementioned outfits would be willing to fork out the fee required to lure him away from Merseyside.
Elliott's performances may have also planted a seed of doubt in the mind of Liverpool manager Arne Slot, who could decide against allowing the versatile playmaker to leave the club despite offering him such limited minutes last season. He made 28 appearances last season in all competitions, though the majority of those minutes came as a substitute.
