Chaos erupted at a McDonald's in Liverpool, with around a dozen people reportedly brawling outside the drive-through. Shocking footage appears to show a member of staff shouting at a shirtless man to "get off me" and multiple other people wading in to the carnage at the restaurant in Page Moss, Liverpool.
Two people were arrested, police said. The footage appears to show a woman slapping the man repeatedly, while smaller fights go on around them, with a woman seen shouting and pointing at staff and saying "you better leave your job", before swearing at them, the Mail Online reports. Eventually, the sound of police sirens causes them to break up.
Police can be seen handcuffing the shirtless man, who continues to shout as he is led to a police car.
The branch has a 1.2 out of five rating on Tripadvisor, with reviews making comments such as "horrible experience" and "I'm done with this place".
Merseyside Police said two people have been arrested following the incident, which happened at around 4.30pm on Friday, July 11. A spokesperson said: "Emergency services attended the scene and a 45-year-old woman from Roby was arrested on suspicion of common assault and racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment/alarm/distress through words or writing.
"A 46-year-old man from Roby was also arrested on suspicion of assault. They have both been bailed pending further inquiries."
A McDonald's spokesperson said: "We are aware of the incident involving anti-social behaviour from a group of customers that has been circulating on social media. The group were asked to leave the restaurant due to unacceptable behaviour.
"The police were called and we are supporting them with their enquiries. We are also working with our restaurant team to remind them of the appropriate de-escalation processes we have in place.
"At McDonald's, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards anti-social behaviour, and it is completely unacceptable to see anyone behaving in this way."
