Fans who tuned into the latest episode of BBC's The Great British Sewing Bee were up in arms over the latest elimination. Several fans complained on social media after Peter became the latest contestant to leave the show, with many saying it was the "wrong decision". During the latest round in Week Two, the candidates attempted to impress judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young with their designs. Their first challenge was constructing a seven-panel cap, before being put to the test by transforming unwanted cycling gear into new clothes. In the final round, labelled Made to Measure, everyone was tasked with creating an athleisure outfit.
Despite putting their best efforts throughout each challenge, it was sadly the end of the road for Peter and Saffie. Two contestants were under pressure to be eliminated after the judges decided not to send anyone home last week, due to Glendora's illness forcing her out of a challenge.

Host Sara Pascoe announced: "Now for the difficult bit. You're all so talented, this was a really difficult decision but the two sewers leaving us this week are Saffie and Peter."
Fans were not happy with the news, with one person moaning online on X: "Disappointed to see Peter go, I think he had a lot more to give, his dress last week was fantastic! #SewingBee."
A second also agreed and commented: "#SewingBee It's a Pity about Peter. He should've measured the model. But it's a great show, starring Esme's necklace." [sic]
A third also chimed in: "No way not Peter! Wrong decision #SewingBee." Another person also similarly echoed: "Oh no, Peter! That was a bit of a shock, even though his made-to-measure wasn't great. #SewingBee."
Speaking to the camera about his elimination, Peter, 45, reflected: "I kind of half expected to hear my name called. They were totally justified in what they said, and I've learnt from them."
Meanwhile, Saffie said: "I kind of had a feeling I was going to go because I just hadn't kept most of the challenges within time."
Explaining their decision, Judge Esme Young commented: "Peter, he was reflecting who he was, but it wasn't well sewn." Patrick added: "Saffie, I'm disappointed because I would really like to see more from Saffie, but her execution let her down."
The Great British Sewing Bee resumes next week on BBC One on Tuesday at 9pm.
