Alton Towers has been evacuated according to "confused as hell" guests being urged to flee for safety. One guest claims the forced exodus is the result of a fire erupting on site. Another said on X (formerly Twitter): "Never had a whole area of Alton Towers evacuated before! I'm confused as hell I hope nothing too serious has happened."
Someone else called Chris Neate wrote in the comment section: "Huge fire. Trees on fire. Smoke everywhere." Meanwhile, another individual, Josh Beardmore, alleged that the cause of the evacuation may be linked to a fire in the Forbidden Valley toilets area of the park, based on what he had heard.
Alton Towers has not yet confirmed the exact cause of the evacuation. The Express has contacted the theme park for comment and will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.
Alton Towers is a popular theme park and resort located near the village of Alton in Staffordshire and offers 500 acres worth of rides, gardens, themed hotels, gardens, and even a mini-golf and a waterpark.
