Tom Ellis has revealed he has "no regrets" about his past actions. The actor, who appeared in the BBC sitcom Miranda, tied the knot with EastEnders icon Tamzin Outhwaite in 2006 after James McAvoy introduced the former couple.
However, in 2014, their eight-year marriage came to an end 2014 when they divorced, after she discovered he had an affair with a co-star, leaving the Mel Owen actress completely heartbroken. Tamzin and Tom share two children, Flo, 17, and Marnie, 12.
But Tom has now addressed the breakdown of their marriage and admits that he has "no regrets". During a recent appearance on a podcast, he admitted that every decision he has made in the past, there was a reason behind it.

"It's easy to say you regret things, but actually no, I don't regret anything," he said. He went on to add: "Every time I made a choice, or decided something, that's how I was feeling at the time, I wasn't pretending. I went into everything with great intentions."
Reflecting on his marriage to American screenwriter Meaghan Oppenheimer, Tom said on the How To Fail podcast: "I met Meaghan at a time when it was impossible to hide my imperfections, and I was in a place where I was open to talk about my faults.
"Life hadn't gone how I thought it would. I was out of a marriage that didn't work, and I think you learn a lot through that process, out of that hardship, I was a stronger, resilient person." But while he has no regrets, he does have some reservations about a huge life change.

Tom has since become an American citizen, which he says was at the "worst possible time". Reflecting on President Donald Trump's administration, he commented: "I love the States, but it is a strange time to be a US citizen. I'm terrified of the new administration and what they're going to do."
It comes after Tamzin opened up about co-parenting withTell Me Lies star Tom, revealing that he has been "in and out" of their children's lives. Speaking candidly on the Parenting Hell podcast, she opened up about the painful split.
She went on to detail her life now, including the difficulty of co-parenting with him, and the pride she feels in how far she and her family have come. When podcast host Josh Widdicombe mentioned the split happened "about 10 years ago," she replied: "Yeah, it was literally when the kids were tiny. Marnie was not even one."
Expanding on Tom's role in their lives, she continued: "He lives in LA. So he's pretty in and out of their lives, but they have a lot of support and people that have been around."
Last year, in an interview with OK!, Tamzin said she was "happy single" before adding: "There’s a lot on! Life is really busy, throwing a relationship into that is a whole other thing. Freedom fills up my cup, freedom to do as you please is a lovely thing. That makes me happy."
