Simon Cowell made a surprise cameo on tonight's episode of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins - however, the Britain's Got Talent judge didn't receive the warmest reception from the show's instructors. The 65-year-old appeared via video call as he rang to check in on former X Factor contestant Lucy Spraggan, who is competing on the show, however he was soon snapped at by the Directing Staff.
Having made it to the show's penultimate episode, Lucywas allowed to receive calls from family and friends. She got to speak to Simon, who worked with her on The X Factor and went on to walk Lucy down the aisle at her wedding last year.
Appearing on tonight's Celebrity SAS: Who Dares, Lucy answers a video call from Simon on an iPad. "How's my little trooper?" he says, while she admits that it's been "a lot rougher" than she anticipated.

"Simon, it's the hardest thing I've ever done," Lucy says. Simon replies: "You look tired, I'm not going to lie."
After detailing all of the tough tasks that she's been through, Lucy tells him: "It's not a joke Simon, it's so, so real. You know how you said you might think about doing it, you would not be doing it. But I would pay such money to see good money to watch you do it."
"Just imagine it was me and how long I'd last," Simon laughs, to which Lucy replies: "You wouldn't have lasted." Directing staff member Chris Oliver then walks into the room, with Lucy telling Simon: "Oh, I think I might have to go."
A shocked Simon is heard saying: "What? Who's that? Excuse me?" Chris then savagely interrupts him, telling Simon: "Quiet."
Just as Simon goes to say "hello?", Chris brutally ends the call - making his fellow DS instructors laugh in the process.
Lucy later received a call from her now-wife Emilia Smith, breaking down as she told her that she couldn't wait to marry her.
The couple wed last June in an emotional ceremony at Saltmarshe Hall in Yorkshire. Simon walked Lucy down the aisle, with the SAS star telling Hello: "I was already crying, and Simon definitely had a tear in his eye."
Earlier this year, Lucy admitted that Simon was "so angry" after Chris hung up on him during the show. She told The Sun: "The DS [directing staff] hung up on him and he was like, 'I’ve never been so angry.' He thought it was a great idea, me doing the show. He knows I love being outdoors. We do a lot of shooting air rifles and stuff together, so he knows this is my thing, testing my mental resilience."
