Rio Ferdinand made it clear that he was less than impressed with the fact that Fara Williams was not part of the BBC's coverage of the Euro 2025 final between England and Spain.
Williams, 41, is a Lionesses icon and has been a constant presence throughout the BBC's coverage of the tournament. But she was not part of Sunday's line-up for the pre-game build-up, which led to Ferdinand questioning the decision.
The former Manchester United and England defender tweeted: "How’s @fara_williams47 not on the @BBCSport coverage".
Williams is England's most capped player after representing her country a staggering 172 times during a stellar playing career.
And since hanging up her boots she has enjoyed a fine punditry career and is a regular on the BBC, who have covered the tournament alongside ITV this summer. Gabby Logan was joined by Steph Houghton, Ellen White and Nedum Onuoha for Sunday's game.

Sarina Wiegman's side are bidding to retain their European crown when they meet Spain in Sunday's showpiece final having won the previous tournament in 2022.
The match is a repeat of the 2023 World Cup final, which Spain won 1-0.
Wiegman insisted, though, that result will have no bearing on their latest meeting as England bid to win a second successive Euros.
“We’ve played each other a lot over the last couple of years. You always have learnings,” she said.
“They will have learned from us in the games we’ve played. [The final] is a new situation so hopefully we can exploit some of the weaknesses they have too.”
Unfortunately for England, they went in at half-time of Sunday's big match trailing 1-0. Mariona Caldentey scored in the 25th minute to hand Spain the advantage as they bid to follow up their World Cup triumph two years ago.
