Mumbai News: Water Levels In Seven City Lakes Rise To 32%; Anticipated Heavy Rains Expected To Increase Reserves

Mumbai: The lake water levels in Mumbai have seen an upward graph has heavy rains hit the region. As of 6 AM of June 24, the water level sees an increase by 67799 ML reaching to 32.89% today which earlier was at 28.21% as of yesterday.

Report of lake levels at 6.00 AM on June 24 indicates water levels across various lakes. Notable remarks include allocations from Bhatsa and operational changes at Upper and Middle Vaitarna. Bhandup Complex reports 50.00 mm rain, totaling 433.00 mm.

Lake Levels In Past 24 Hours

Upper Vaitarna shows a level of 598.94 M.S.L, increasing by 0.46 meters with a total useful content of 88,631 ML and today's rainfall of 39.04 mm.

Modak Sagar's level is at 123.13 M.S.L, rising by 0.66 meters, holding 52,728 ML useful content and receiving 36.34 mm today.

Tansa stands at 259.47 M.S.L, a rise of 4.12 meters, and holds 65,008 ML with 33.59 mm rain recorded.

Middle Vaitarna shows a level of 272.56 M.S.L, an increase of 39.24 meters, with a total content of 188,877 ML.

Bhatsa is at 76.83 M.S.L, with a slight rise of 0.12 meters and a total of 11,505 ML and 41.54 mm of rain.

Vihar is consistent at 75.30 M.S.L. Tulsi lake reports 134.95 M.S.L, with 0.06 meters rise.

The IMD weather forecast predicts that the Konkan-Goa area is expected to receive heavy rainfall today.
