Citizens from economically weaker and marginalized sections in Raigad district can now access free legal aid and guidance under the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) scheme. The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Raigad-Alibag, has made it easier for people to seek legal help by introducing a dedicated toll-free helpline number — 15100.
Officials from the DLSA informed that this initiative is aimed at ensuring justice for all, especially those who cannot afford legal services. The free legal aid includes advice, assistance in court matters, and help with documentation.
To avail of this service, citizens can call the toll-free helpline number 15100, which connects them directly to legal aid services at no cost.
They may also contact the District Legal Services Authority, Raigad, Alibag directly by dialling the landline number 02141-232390 or the mobile number 9552533066 for assistance, said a statement released by Raigad administration.
