IndiGo on Tuesday issued a travel advisory alerting passengers to possible delays in flight operations from Delhi, citing air traffic congestion as the cause.
“Due to air traffic congestion in Delhi, flight operations are currently impacted,” the airline said in an advisory posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle.
The carrier acknowledged that the situation could result in longer wait times for passengers both at the airport and onboard. “We understand that extended wait times, both on the ground and onboard, may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your patience,” IndiGo said.
It also urged passengers to check their flight status before heading to the airport. “For the most up-to-date flight information, we recommend checking our website or mobile app,” the airline advised.
IndiGo added that its ground and cabin crew were assisting passengers amid the delays. “Our crew and on-ground teams are there to support you and ensure your wait is as comfortable as possible,” it said.
Moreover, the airline thanked travellers for their cooperation, saying, “We value your time and are doing everything we can to help you get on your way soon. Thank you for your continued understanding.”
Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport is one of the busiest in the country, where dense flight schedules often strain air traffic capacity during peak hours.
