Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released the list of students who were ranked in the top 20 percentile in the 12th Board Exam 2025. The list of students has been released on the official website of the board secondary.biharboardonline.com, which students can check. According to BSEB, all these students are eligible to apply for the Central Scholarship Scheme at the time of admission to college and university. The purpose of this scholarship is to promote meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds pursuing higher education.
According to the Bihar Board, it is mandatory for the student applying for a scholarship under the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Scheme to be in the top 20th percentile of the successful candidates. Apart from educational qualification, a financial criterion has also been fixed. The total annual income of the student's parents should not exceed Rs 4.5 lakh. This income limit ensures that the scholarship comes from the economically weaker section. Only students who meet both these criteria can apply under the scheme.
