RPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has published a revised notification for the recruitment of 574 Assistant Professor positions in the College Education Department. The application process for these positions began on September 20, 2025. Interested candidates can apply through the official website, rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. The minimum marks and age relaxation criteria have been changed. The examination will be held from December 1 to 24, 2025.

A Fresh Application Required
It is noteworthy that this advertisement was originally issued on December 13, 2024, but was withdrawn due to amendments to the rules. Now, a fresh application is mandatory, and even the 1.70 lakh candidates who have already applied will have to apply again. The Commission has clarified that only online applications will be valid.

Minimum Marks Requirement
According to the Commission Secretary, the service rules have been changed based on the Department of Personnel's notification issued on September 16, 2025. The Commission will now recommend only those candidates who secure at least 36% marks in each paper and 40% marks overall.

Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates will be granted a 5% relaxation.

Ex-servicemen and disabled candidates will also receive a relaxation in the minimum marks as per the relevant rules.
Age Limit Requirements and Relaxations
The minimum age of a candidate to apply must be 21 years and the maximum age must be less than 40 years (as calculated on July 1, 2025).

Additional age relaxation of 1 year: For posts 1 to 4, 6 to 13, 15 to 26, and 28 to 29, as these were advertised in 2023.
Additional age relaxation of 3 years: For posts 5, 14, and 27, as these were advertised in 2020-21 or before.
No relaxation: For post number 30, as this has been repeatedly advertised.

Furthermore, candidates from reserved categories and other categories will also benefit from age relaxation as per the rules.

Exam Date
The Commission has clarified that the examination will be conducted from December 1 to 24, 2025, as per the previously scheduled schedule. This was already announced in the examination calendar released on December 31, 2024.
