Real Madrid have reportedly made a significant decision about Rodrygo's future in light of potential transfer links to Arsenal.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the Brazilian this summer, with theinterest first emerging before the end of last season.
Mikel Arteta was asked about a potential move for Rodrygo during a press conference last season, as Arsenal continue to be linked with bringing the Madrid star to the Emirates Stadium.

Rodrygo is currently with the Madrid squad in the United States for the FIFA Club World Cup, making just two appearances in the competition so far and only one start.
New Madrid manager Xabi Alonso has left Rodrygo on the bench as an unused substitute in two of the Spanish outfit's Club World Cup fixtures so far, which has only intensified the speculation that the forward could leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
The Athletic have now reported that Madrid and Alonso are both "open" to sanctioning a permanent deal for Rodrygo this summer.
The report claims that if a club was to make an offer that matches Madrid's value, the Spanish giants would not stop Rodrygo from completing a permanent move this summer.
Various reports have claimed to provide insight into Madrid's potential asking price, with some suggestions that Rodrygo is valued at around £84million.
Alonso was asked about Rodrygo's future at Madrid before the start of the Club World Cup. The Madrid boss spoke to reporters before their opening match against Al-Hilal, where he addressed rumours that Rodrygo could leave the club.
"I know what had happened," Alonso said before Madrid's first fixture of the Club World Cup back in June. "The end of the season wasn't easy for him [Rodrygo].
"He took some time to reset. We've talked since day one, and I see him eager to contribute on the field and enjoy himself."
